Well, we were very calm leading up to the bus experience. We calmly talked about waiting for the bus, and how fun it would be, and who Oz would sit next to. He even calmly walked into the bus with me....and started screaming and crying the second he sat down. I strapped him in and did a quick kiss goodbye and ran off the bus before I lost it. The bus pulled away and apparently he calmed down within a few minutes (although not before freaking out a few other kids on the bus). The rest of the day turned out great from what his teachers say. No more tears and happy too! He even told me he likes school and the bus. Now if we could just get over that inital painful goodbye!! We already talked about it for tomorrow, and he's excited to pick his own seat this time. And said there would only be a few tears...oh boy....

I love that Oz tells you there will only be a few tears tomorrow :) Love that kid!
ReplyDeletei know :) so funny. there were tears today, but quieter and less than yesterday, so we're moving in the right direction!
