Our stuff was gone, but we had a few more days left in New Orleans. We had our final family pizza night at Slice, and played some old school video games. We also checked into The Columns on St. Charles for our last few nights and the kids were impressed with the decor and breakfasts!
Our wonderful friends Pam and Mike had a going away party for us and it was an awesome evening of friends from different aspects of our lives in Nola - old friends and new, school friends and neighbors. Tears were shed, Cat Stevens was sung, and lots of smiles and laughter were shared. While we're ready for our next adventure, New Orleans definitely found it's way into our hearts and will be missed!
There was one more thing for us to do for our last day in New Orleans - Livi's Kindergarten graduation! It was held in the church next door to her school, and the French Consul General gave the commencement speech. Livi was so excited and proud, and Dada made it extra special by running out and getting some gorgeous roses that she shared with her teachers and friends. Her school was definitely a highlight of our New Orleans experience, and we can only hope her next school will come close!
