Our first family trip to the city

I just found this post and realized I never published it before...better late than never! This was from a few weeks ago:

We finally made our first family trip to the city, and the weather miraclously cooperated! The PATH is surprisingly easy, and Oscar of course got a kick out of riding on the train. We had big plans to hit the central park zoo and FAO schwartz...and of course only made it to the toy store! We almost got swept away by the Puerto Rican day parade...literally. (We found out when we got home that it's one of the biggest parades in the US. Who knew!) Oscar braved it by covering his ears, and Olivia slept peacefully in her Baby Bjorn... Here are a few pics, not the greatest but they get the job done!

Oscar was happiest looking at the electric train display.

Catching up

Well, I'm failing miserably so far in doing my weekly post and taking photos. I guess that's a tribute to keeping busy, but I also want to keep track of everything! We're settling into Hoboken and loving our new house and neighborhood. Kids are everywhere!! We try to hit a park daily (if the weather cooperates...) and Oscar's in a little tumbling class that he loves. I'm also hoping to sign him up for soccer. I love watching the little "bees" chase a soccer ball around. That's our goal for next week...gotta love being ambitious! :)

Big Oscar is asleep, somehow pulling a midnight shift the first few weeks of work...hopefully it will be over soon so he can sleep like a normal person! He slept through most of his birthday, but we did manage to have a nice meal together and sing Happy Birthday (little Oscar insisted on doing a solo).

Let's see, Oscar is probably going to preschool in the fall...assuming he accepts pooping in the toilet...Olivia is doing awesome. So social and smiley. She is grasping at toys and rolling over and generally just being cute and snuggly. Alrighty, the boys and girl are awake...til next time! photos to come...
