After a relatively painless flight we arrived safe and sound in Nairobi! Our sponsor was waiting for us on the tarmac, and we even got a private shuttle to the immigration area. Our luggage all made it and we headed out to our new house! We don't live that close to the airport, but we fortunately arrived on a Sunday night so we didn't have to face the city traffic our first night in country. We were exhausted, but super excited to see our new house…which has the added bonus of bunk beds for the kids! Needless to say they quickly decided to share a room. Our compound is filled with kids about the same age, and they all started playing outside together from the first day. It definitely helped with the kids transition and everyday we send them out and they do a circuit throughout the houses in the compound as they play.
