Our time in the US was winding down but we had a few more fun filled weekends to enjoy. The MacEachen clan descended on Arlington and took the area by storm. It was an awesome weekend of metro riding, monument visiting, eating, and laughter… Emma and Novi had the best hair of the weekend, and Missy gets a special prize for her beer gleeking abilities. Nana stayed with us two nights and the Plymouth MacEacheans slept over the last night. Livi stayed up until 2am with Novi doing makeup and watching TV - her latest night to date! And thanks to Missy, Jenny, and Bonnie I think I have everyone in at least one picture!
Day 1 - The Washington Monument, World War II, and Lincoln Memorial
After a full day of sight seeing on the mall in the sun, we all needed some chill time. The adults headed to Kona Grill for some cocktails and I took the kids to our apartment for some Cheetos!
Day 2 - Air and Space and dinner at Buca de Bepo in Dupont (one restaurant where 17 people could all eat at the same time….unless you want chicken parm!)…
Day 3- Old Town Alexandria. While the bulk of the clan wandered King Street, we went and checked out the inside of our house! It was my first time seeing it, and it has so much potential… Let the renovation begin! Well, soon…. After a brief walk in the heat and a mini photo session, we grabbed some lunch at Austin Grill and headed back to our apt to cool off.
