After we spent Saturday unpacking our HHE, we were ready for some fun on Sunday. Our sponsor daily invited along us to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust about an hour from our house (https://www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org). It was a great way to introduce us to some amazing Kenyan wildlife. The Embassy arranges special trips where you can get more hands on with the elephants, but we headed out on our own this time, and still had the thrill of seeing them up close and even touching a few of the younger ones. Next time, we'll take the special tour and maybe helping them take baths (and will remember to wear boots…). I took so many pictures but still wished I'd taken more!![]() |
