More summer fun

Nana brought Livi home safe and sound, and we had a short but sweet visit with her before she headed back to Austin.  Next up for our summer adventures was a visit from Sam! Uncle Bobby brought him down from Buffalo to stat with us for a week. We had them and the Taylors over for lunch on Sunday. There was lots of talk about trying to find our basement under the house, but we saved that for the next visit!

For Monday, I gave the kids a scavenger hunt around old town to complete including Holtby's house, Torpedo Factory and the skinniest house. The end was a victory hamburger at Five Guys. I told them to take pics at every stop but this was the only one I got!

We hit the playground in the afternoon and the kids loved having Sam chase them.

On Tuesday we headed to the air and space museum in Dulles. The boys split up for a bit but we met up for lunch at McDonalds ( the only food option there?!?)

Livi landed the space shuttle like a champ and even impressed the docent!

Next up was the Spy Museum on Wednesday. Harry stayed home with a babysitter this time around and we took the metro in. It's a pretty cool museum, but definitely for the older crowd. We found a little scavenger hunt that helped keep things interesting too. They have a new building opening next year so it will be fun to see what fun new things the new building brings! Oscar met us at the gift shop and helped point Luis and Sam to the Lincoln Memorial while I brought Livi and Oscar home to get Harry. He was super excited when we got home and as soon as he saw me told the babysitter to go!

2 Oscars!

On Thursday we headed up to Darias house for a swim and to hang out at the fabulous Casa Taylor for the afternoon. The weather was perfect for a swim and Harry had so much fun playing in the water. Everyone else did too 😁
On the way home we met Oscar by the monuments and did a little night drive. We even found a new monument for a photo op - Albert Einstein! Separate photos are required these days.

Friday was my day of rest, and by rest I mean laundry and packing for our trip to Buffalo the next day!
