Schools Out!

The kids have finished up their last week of school this year. Oscar was relatively nonchalant about the experience, although quietly ecstatic to not being going back for quite a while.

Livi on the other hand was a bit more emotionally involved. She came home really upset one day because they had talked about how they would be going into Kindergarten and getting a new teacher. To help her feel better, we made special cards for her teachers and talked about how she would still see them  at school next year. On her last day, the class performed a few French songs and a dance for the parents, and Livi truly enjoyed being on stage. She gave her teachers ginormous hugs, and went around to each of her friends and hugged them goodbye too. Au revoir!

And a short clip from her dance…I didn't upload the whole thing since the quality is so bad (a combo between using a phone and bad lighting) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbiHgo3aI8U

Since we're in performance more, Livi's also getting full use of her karaoke machine and is in an a cappella phase. It's only the first verse, but rest assured she's got the rest of it down too (well, mostly).
