Field Trip

Last month Oscar had a field trip with his class to a local cultural center where they saw a traditional dance, puppet show, took a bullock cart ride, and made and painted pottery.  The center is a sprawling campus that has exhibits of art, architecture and crafts from Southern Indian. With 5 year olds we got a shortened version of the tour, so I missed out on learning about the different houses and where certain crafts are from, but it gives me a reason to go back! The teachers were a little ticked off since our guides kept disappearing on us and the bathrooms were without working faucets for hand washing - hand sanitizer the rescue! The kids had a great time and I'm happy Oscar still likes having his mama come along to chaperone.
