We had our first winter blast this weekend, along with the rest of the east coast! We got about a foot here, and it was so beautiful! We all headed out this morning to play and shovel (well, big Oscar got the shovel :). Olivia had a blast, for about 1 minute - essentially until she realized how little she could move around in her size 8 boots (we weren't planning on her walking so early!). I'm on the search now for some her...and will probably get them as soon as the snow is gone. While the boys hung out outside, the girls played chase and peek-a-boo inside. Oscar on the other hand could barely be dragged in! We did manage to get him in for a much needed nap and we headed right back out again after he woke up. He was jumping and running and climbing over any pile of snow. Once we clued him into the yellow accents he was very good at avoiding them too. :) After a walk to Blockbuster and a stop for hot chocolate he still didn't want to go home. He finally had enough at about 6pm and promptly settled into watching Star Wars. He was in such a good mood, and I got the most excited response to dinner
ever from him. Usually I list everything we have in our cupboards and fridge and he begrudingly settles on something as a means to the end...dessert. Tonight however, when I put down his plate he shouted, "Chicken nuggets and corn! My FAVORITE!!!" A great day...and we're all ready to snuggle into bed and hopefully have a great night of sleep. Sweet dreams....
