Oscar finished his last meet in gymnastics at the State Competition in Baton Rouge a few weekends ago. He's moved up to Level 5, but with our upcoming move we've decided that April will be our last month of gymnastics. In May, the time commitment increases from 4 hr/wk to 9 hr/wk, including Saturdays. When Oscar saw the new schedule he basically said, "I can NOT do that. I need my Saturdays!" I'm glad it was an easy choice for him!
There are different things that have been memorable for the kiddos here, and this is definitely one for him. He committed to something he had to work hard on, and had a regular group of boys that he hung out with to help balance out our homeschool environment. It's hard to believe he almost didn't join the team in the fall!
