April showers and other happenings

This month has brought plenty of rain, and while some people have been complaining, Ms. Olivia is happy as a clam. She's truly happiest when she's somehow in the water and if there's a rainy day, she'll play in the rain, the puddles, the resulting mud, and then happily go to take a bath.

And lots of rain fun on our front porch. No wonder the neighbors all know who Livi is!

a backyard bath

We've oddly found 2 dead bees on our porch over the past week. We haven't see a lot of live ones, and really don't have any flowers to attract them, but we felt bad for those wonderful honey bees and buried them in our mint and weed garden. We didn't have a full funeral, but Oscar helped dig the hole and Livi placed the flowers. Hoping we don't find any more!!

Last weekend Oscar decided to dig out his gems that Santa brought for him. It was fun for both kiddos, and they each took turns excavating. Oscar even gave Livi her favorite ones!

Livi loves writing on the wipe board, and family portraits are always fun. In this one, Livi is running, I'm skiing (?!), Oscar is in bed, and Dada…is a flying peanut!

Gigi turns 89 next week and we worked on some cards for her last week. Oscar created a special paper bouquet while Livi painted a picture. As per usual, Livi's painting turned into body art…and ultimately another bath!

And what would my post be without an original outfit by Liv? Here she is styling in PJs of her choice - (clean) underwear on her head, a sweatshirt with watercolor unicorns all over it, and Hello Kitty pajama pants.
