Impromptu visitors from Austin!

A few weeks ago, we had a wonderful visit from Nana, Papa, and Aunt Jenny! They arrived in town Friday while the kids were at school, and settled into their hotel while Oscar was enjoying his first trip to the symphony. I managed to snap a pic of him was he was jumping behind the seats to hide… When we all got home from school, Nana, Papa and Aunt Jenny arrived at our house and the kids were so excited they made me close the blinds so we could "surprise" them when we opened the door. :)

We had a wonderful weekend, seeing the sights of New Orleans and showing off our neighborhood. The adults went to a scrumptious brunch on Saturday at Commander's Palace, complete with a table side jazz trio. The restaurant was across the street from one of New Orlean's famous cemeteries, and we took a stroll through after brunch before heading back to the kiddos.

That night, Dada and Oscar brought everyone back to their hotel, while Livi and I held down the fort at home. Little Oscar loved his special time with everyone, although was less than enthusiastic about the photos...

Classic Little O
Sunday we went into the French Quarter all together and had brunch, strolled through Jackson Square and the French Market, and of course had beignets!!

Where's little Oscar?
The three day weekend came to an end all too soon, but not before a trip to Slice for some pizza before Nana, Papa, and Jenny had to head off to the airport. We were sad to see them go, but are looking to their next visit!
