We said goodbye to the big city of Bangkok and headed to Phuket for some beach time. The resort was beautiful, and we were surprised by a few days of rainy evenings...apparently there are 2 monsoons in Thailand! It didn't dampen our spirits (ha ha) and we loved an opportunity to see some rain! The resort had an awesome pool with a water slide for the kids and REALLY good food :)
We also had a chance to ride elephants as a special treat for Nana's birthday. Livi was in awe and asked why she didn't get an elephant to ride for her birthday...
Oscar and Dada opted out of the elephant experience and went on their own beach adventure while we were gone. Our resort was pretty isolated from towns and tourists so it was a fun Dada-day out to see a little bit more of the island and some local color! And Oscar even smiled for several pictures! How did Dada do it??
