March

After all the excitement from Livi's birthday week, we settled back into normal. Here's a smattering of photos:

Posing on Skipp's lions

Dangling and playing "hide" and seek along S. Lee St. - "You can't see me!"

Livi and her friend Estelle in their DIY capes and armbands.

And after their bedroom spiderweb creation. I'm finding new uses for my craft supplies...
A new playground in Del Ray, discovered through Buy Nothing pickups! Harry loved the ropes best.

Our dual use backyard firepit/rockpit.

Harry's love of Star Wars and costumes has coalesced to an obsession with "Dark" Vader.

And we finally made it to the Natural History Museum to see our friend Kirsten do the tarantula feeding. Rosie wasn't hungry but the bugs and butterflies were still a big hit. As was the mummy exhibit! Our window of happiness is small and even an extra 20min of fun led to a surf board style carry across Constitution Ave. and a tantrum in the car. He did manage to pull himself together and have some snacks for the rest of the car ride and thankfully nap time still happened at home. We'll definitely do that again (hitting the parking at 9:45 was key!!) but I may need to wait a few weeks to recharge my tolerance-of-public-tantrums battery. Our outing made me realize we have come a long way, but are still not through the woods of tantrums. And a little over an hour is about all the fun this kid can handle at once!

The next morning we missed a playdate, but were both ready to take it easy and make the grocery store our major outing for the day. The grim reaper was definitely taking his time enjoying his oatmeal.
