And in the blink of an eye, it was time to leave Austin. We stayed as long as we could, getting some extra visits in with Papa. The ride to VA was about 24 hours, and the kids did amazingly well, even with a feverish Livi thrown in the mix.

We had one night out in Asheville, but both Oscar and I were a bit underwhelmed after hearing so many wonderful things about the town. Maybe we just wanted to get to VA and stop driving!

We arrived into our apartment in the Rosslyn Oakwood, and the kids quickly settled in. It's not as nice as our Ballston apt, since we're on the first floor with no view, but the location is awesome (right near the Rosslyn metro) and the pool is perfect for keeping the kids entertained. Oscar unfortunately had to head into work the next day, and the kids and I spent a few days swimming in the pool and getting ready for our next trip to Buffalo.

| when our UAB arrived our apartment felt 10x smaller |
We also finally got to see our house in Alexandria. It definitely needs some TLC, but the location can't be beat and Old Town is awesome!! We spent a little time walking around the neighborhood and discovering the park a few blocks away on the River.
