More fun in New Orleans

Treating the neighbors (and movie crew around the corner)
to some Mardi Gras horn fun!
The parades were taking a break before they kick in high gear for next weekend, but we had plenty more fun ahead. Livi headed to school on Monday and I took the rest of the fam to the French Quarter for beignets and sight seeing. In true Livi style, she barely batted an eye to be heading off to school and was happy knowing we were all coming to pick her up that afternoon.

The weather didn't disappoint, and the quarter was even calmer than usual for a Monday afternoon. We strolled down Bourbon Street, and enjoyed some beignets. Elly had to agree that Bourbon St. is stinky! Oscar was proud. :)

Livi was so excited to have everyone pick her up from school on Monday, and we had a spaghetti feast on our last night together. Everyone even cleaned their plates! Elly and Daria had to leave the next morning, but Oscar had a special day with Nanee while I took the Taylors to the airport and Livi was at school. Nanee got an extra treat seeing the kids at both of their gymnastics classes on Tuesday night as well. Oscar had his homeschool class on Wed, so we kept Livi home so she could have a special day with Nanee too.

Everyone was feeling a little under the weather Wed. night, so instead of heading to more parades, we decided to watch Happy Potter 6 instead. We were all happy to be snuggling on the couch together! We had a sad goodbye the next morning, but knew we'll be seeing everyone again soon!

I had to steal this photo from Daria's pictures since it's so awesome. Taken right before the first evening parade of the season.
