"The incident of me not being able to sleep..."

...is making me frustrated." This would be what oscar told me when he sheepishly came out of his room after I put him to bed over an hour before.
This is what he told Nanee the other day (with a sly little smile on his face) when she said she couldn't spin her arm any faster or it would fall off, "You know, your arm is attached to your body so it can't fall off. It's not like it's made of paper." I LOVE his expressions!!

Let's see, some catch up on the kids in general. Oscar is currently obsessed with old transfomer cartoons that he found at the library. I limit him to one a day and he starts talking about them as soon as he wakes up. He also has worked them into his imaginative play, and he is usually optimus prime, I'm Bumblebee, and Liv is emergency guy. Today Nanee was also included as "Good guy" because she didn't want to be star scream (the bad guy) :)
Liv continues to be a force to reckon with. Her words havent increased dramatically but she definitely can let you know what she wants(i'll now give her "no" and "dup/yup" which means yes. mama comes out sometimes but still not regularly enough for me to be satisfied!). She still tries to bite occasionally, but screaming and stamping her feet have taken center stage when she doesn't get what she wants. Yes, she has entered the terrible twos and is barely 18 months old! You can see it on her face when she's done with what she's playing with and wants to move to something else...usually Oscar's lovely tower of blocks or perfectly arranged vehicles!...She balances that nicely be being amazingly sweet when she wants to be and is a kissing bandit. She has to kiss everyone around when she leaves to go anywhere, and waves at people, animals and even inanimate objects as you walk by (cars, tires, sticks...). She's doing somersaults (mainly on the aerobed) and can jump with two feet. Her favorite jump is to jump up and land on her butt on the bed.

It really is amazing how they are like night and day. Oscar always approaches things with caution, and checks the situation out before stepping in, while Liv runs straight into anything full speed ahead!! They get along together famously for the most part and have so much fun together, as long as Liv doesn't decide to destroy what oscar is playing with.... :)
