Well, that's what we thought it was going to be! After being major tourists for the first few days, we decided to take it a little easy on Sunday - mainly to give my very-pregnant bones a rest... Of course, we ended up exploring farther than expected and still walked several miles for our "local" explorations. The weather cooperated famously as we explored North London.
First up, Kings Cross Station! We'd tried to get tickets to the Harry Potter Museum, but waited too long and they were sold out for the whole week Daria was here. We happened across this instead, a recreation of platform 9 3/4. Best part, it's free...until we went inside the shop next door :)
Next up was the National Library to see their rare documents room and Alice in Wonderland Exhibit. No photos allowed, but it was fun to see how much the story has impacted children's literature, and how many versions there are of it now. The rare documents room was also very cool, including the Magna Carta, Beatles lyrics written on the back of Julian Lennon's first birthday card, and a very cool letter written by both Anne Boleyn and King Henry the VIII to Cardinal Wolsey about King Henry's divorce to Catherine of Aragon.
After the library, we decided to grab some lunch somewhere between Camden and Primrose Hill, depending on when we got hungry and what restaurants we saw. Camden was a bit over the top and packed for their Sunday Market. It was quite a spectacle, and although we stopped for a yummy bakery treat along the way, we decided to get out of Camden as quickly as we could and find some lunch in Primrose Hill.

We walked along Regents canal for a few minutes, and came out in the much more calm and lovely neighborhood of Primrose Hill. We found a Greek restaurant called La Lemonia that gave us the energy we needed to continue along the canal and see if we could find Abbey Road.

We found Abbey Road, along with a small group of people recreating the famous Beatles cover. Daria took the album cover pic (traffic is actually always are supposed to stop at crosswalks like this which made photos ops a bit easier for all) and outside the studio. This actually ended up serving as a scouting trip for my first hospital trip later in the week, since it's about 5 min from my doctor's office too!
