Mardi Gras was over, but the kids were still out of school for 3 more days! Trying to fill the space with something a little out of the ordinary, the kids and I headed to Baton Rouge with some friends to check out the science museum. It was a little small, but it had some great spaces for kids and they really enjoyed it. We ended the excursion with a planetarium showing of Supervolcanoes! Oscar was enthralled, and Livi cuddled in my lap for most of it….

The next day we headed to the zoo with a buddy of Oscar's. The boys headed out early for a playdate, while Livi and I explored Monkey Hill and had a rare encounter with some rogue pelicans!
