A surprise visit from Mark Daley a few weeks ago brought us back to the Quarter for some wandering on Royal, our fav street, and of course some beignets.
The following weekend (my birthday weekend!) we had our first house quests, none other than the Lookners! They are the one family that has miraculously made it to almost all of our houses…minus one house in VT and India…We'll forgive them for those transgressions and are hoping their streak is renewed. The kids got along famously, and Livi and Zara (also 4) were like 2 peas all weekend. We played tourist and hit the zoo, aquarium, playgrounds, and some yummy restaurants. Of course, I have only 1 picture of the adults, but plenty of the kids!

Big Oscar came down with a stomach bug, so their last evening in town Saul and Christine went out for a bit while Oscar and I held down the fort. The kids put on a glow necklace dance party to "What does the fox say," right in line with the video for this song they can't get enough of this month.
Livi unfortunately got the bug at the end of the week, but still wanted to show her Saints spirit. We're all in the clear now and ready for our Thanksgiving road trip to Austin!
