Back to the Daily Grind

We're back in town after a wonderful trip to Austin! We had so much fun and here are some highlights!:
-Baseball game in Round Rock! Fun had by all..and I need some pictures from Missy! :) It was a minor league game and they had the best stadium because you could sit and watch the game, but there was also a great playground area for kids ...not to mention a great hill to roll down...
-Reunited with Herman...little Oscar kept his distance but Livi loved him...but not his tail...
-Big Oscar finally got to meet his niece Charlie who is adorable and so smiley!! Livi and Charlie had some kissing marathons. Too cute but unfortunately not caught on camera.
- A last minute naked swim in the pool for the kids and Nana. Literally 5 min before we had to leave for the airport, Nana and OScar decide they need to swim...so of course Livi must follow. The only time the kids were in the pool and so much fun!!
-A great dinner at Tommy's restaurant, with the kids mostly taking "walk abouts" around the plaza once the food, and snowcones, were done.
-Dueling screaming going on with 3 exhausted kiddos on an almost nightly basis...Nana and Papa may be enjoying some peace and quiet now, although we miss them!!!
-Livi tearing up the stairs, from climbing down the right way (on her belly), to sliding down on her belly, to deciding she can walk down holding one hand.
-A near disaster with a broken water pipe, but a fun learning experience for Oscar who had to know exactly what was going on and why while the men did the repairs.
-Livi's walks with Papa around the yard. She loves to be outside and explore!

Other general updates:
-We have been having nightly GWF (Grajales Wrestling Federation) events in the pack and play. Both kids essentially just throw themselves around the 2x3 ft space. Good fun for all!
-Oscar has started calling me "mom." I have no idea where it came from, but it appeared this week. It's cute but also somehow sounds older than he should me...rest assured he still whines for "MOMMMYYYYY"
-Liv LOVES dogs. She squeals everytime she seems them...in books, on TV, and in person!
-We've decided she's started talking, probably more for us than real words..."Dis" is what we've decided is her first word. She uses it when she points to things and we think it's "this." :)
-Fun Oscar-story: We took Oscar to school this morning and "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes..." was on. I said "Oh boy, it's Livi's favorite song!" OScar said, "No mama, it isn't! Here favorite song is "Single Ladies!" Which, it actually is! :) His favorite song is "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes" and he likes to sing it to himself...along with the Diego theme :)

OK, need to sleep now...somehow stayed up too late again!
